Kindness really is contagious!
Every now and again, when I’ve got some extra cash in my pocket I like pick up the tab for the guy behind me at the drive thru. Just a small random act of kindness that might make someones day.
So today I stopped for a cheeseburger at McD’s after work and told the cat at the first window “Lemme pay for the guy behind me as well….just tell him Happy Thanksgiving” (Which, as usual, resulted in some odd looks and funny questions). When I pulled to the second window to get my tasty burger, I was watching in the rearview to catch the recipient of this random acts expression (my favorite part). When he heard that I had already paid for it, he looked toward my truck with a smile, then I saw him motion to the car behind him, and hand the McD’s employee his debit card! I think it’s a safe assumption that he did the same for the car behind him. Unexpected result, but made my day!
